Echo has defined a number of highly prospective brownfields exploration targets across the Bronzewing District.

Despite being located only 10km south of the Bronzewing Processing Hub, Zaphod is a prime example of the underexplored nature of Echo’s tenement holdings.

Comprising mineralised quartz veins occurring from surface within a package of sheared and carbonated mafic rocks which outcrop through a window of the surrounding furruginous laterite.  Up to three individual quartz veins of 0.25-1 metres in thickness were observed, generally striking in a north-west trend and dipping to the east-north-east.

The anomalous rock chips were located over approximately 100 metres of strike and in April 2016 a first pass aircore drilling program totalling 13 holes for 635 metres was completed to test the prospect to approximately 50 metres below the high grade outcrop zone. The drilling tested approximately 200 metres of strike and extended to the north where an interpreted paleochannel masks the surface geochemical response.

Intersections included:

        2 metres @ 15.55 g/t Au from 105 metres (ZRC003)

        2 metres @ 14.84 g/t Au from 89 metres (ZRC004)

        4 metres @ 6.20 g/t Au from 116 metres (ZRC003, incl. 1m @ 17.35 g/t)

        1 metre @ 16.76 g/t from 61 metres (ZAC002)

Open along strike and at depth

Full results are available in release to ASX dated 21 April 2016.

The Mt Joel prospect is located approximately 25km NNE of Bronzewing and is associated with the Maitland palaeochannel system. Mt Joel is the northernmost prospect on the structure that also hosts the Cyclonix and Sundowner prospects. The area has been subject to historical drilling with results showing broad intervals of highly anomalous gold, including 12 meters at 1.7g/t Au from 38 metres and 17 metres at 1.8g/t Au from 33 metres.

Cyclonix is directly south, along-strike, of the Mt Joel prospect and 9km north-east of Bronzewing. RC drilling at Cyclonix has identified a narrow north-west trending shear under approximately 80m of cover. Recent work indicates a resource of 0.2Mt @ 8.17g/t for 59Koz at Cyclonix, contained in the laterite, and there is significant potential to increase this resource base with further follow-up work.

Sundowner is the southernmost prospect located on the north-northeast trending Mt Joel shear zone,. Previous drilling has yielded results including 12m @ 2.4g/t from 40m with mineralisation located under transported cover. Additional deep drilling is required at Sundowner on this well endowed structure.

Woorana, located 17km ESE of Bronzewing, represents a series of mineralised zones over 3.5km of strike length. Previously drilled by Newmont, mineralisation is demonstrated to be in narrow 2-6m wide zones that dip 45◦ - 50◦ to the east. The prospect hosts a non-JORC compliant resource and there remains substantial prospectivity to the south of historic intercepts.

Anomaly 45 is host to a modest historical resource of 0.7Mt @ 1.47 g/t Au for 35,000 ounces (JORC 2004).  Typical of deposits in the area, Anomaly 45 sits below 30 metres of cover and is proximal to a number of geochemical anomalies which require follow up.
